European Colt Brevete 1851 Pattern Single Action Percussion Revolver

European Colt Brevete 1851 Pattern Single Action Percussion Revolver. The revolver is a copy of Colt M.1851 Navy revolver. The upper part of the barrel displays gold inlaid floral motifs and a slightly fading name, "Antonio Pinillos" (please, see pictures). The sides of the barrel display engraved wording, "Cast Steel". Each cylinder chamber is numbered in gold. No other markings are present on the revolver. The silver trigger guard shows beautifully engraved Athena (please, see pictures). The cylinder is scroll engraved and inlaid in silver. The revolver was most likely sold on the commercial market. It is beautifully engraved in floral motifs (on the frame, cylinder, hilt, hammer, trigger guard and on the barrel). The revolver is very well made with a nice blue finish. All steel construction with nicely polished and finished carved walnut grip. Octagonal barrel. Six shot cylinder. Iron spur trigger guard. Barrel length: 7 inch. Blade front and hammer notch rear sights. Massive silver butt of the hilt.
