I had a nice collection of Colts, many purchased from fellows who were getting out of competition.  I used them until other collectors found out I was shooting them and offered me an incentive to sell them.  I still have a couple but now, mostly replicas.

Reproductions for me.

The oldest original I have is a 1913 P08 Luger.

I only own repros.
A couple old Armi San Marco.
A good collection of Uberti and Pietta.
A couple Palmettos.

Wish I could find -- and afford -- originals, though I rather doubt I'd shoot them.

Both of my C&B revolvers are Pietta's 1858 repos, one is a 5.5" and the other is a de-farbed 8".
Would love to own an original 1858 (I can't seem to keep my hands off the few I've seen at gun shows) but never seem to have enough cash at the moment.  :'(

Wonderful site you have here! :)

Hello Board and great site.  :)

I have the following:

1 2nd generation 'F' series 51' Navy
1 3rd generation 'Signature Series' 62' Police (5.5" Barrel)
1 3rd generation Signature Series 49' Pocket
1 reproduction 1860 Army.

I bought the 1860 Army (Uberti) because I wanted to have the R&D cylinder with it so I could hunt bigger game with it. The Colts just sit in glass cases the Army I use extensively both as a percussion, for small game and converted to the R&D for larger game like deer.

I own two Colt, Second Generation revolvers... One is an 1851 Navy revolver, mint and unturned. The other is an 1861 Colt Navy revolver mint and unturned.

I own eleven Uberti reproduction revolvers, with three more Ubertis are coming this next week... The ones coming are two Third Model Dragoons and one 1849 pocket pistol.

From what experience I have, and from reading comments all across the web, I will stay with Uberti for my shooting needs.

How I envy you Guys, I have just added 'Firearm' number 15 to my Certificate and have been told by the Issuing Authority that I have hit my limit now.  If I want to acquire anything else I must do it on a ''one on , one off basis''

I have repros currently. I have a Pietta '58 New Army Target steel frame, Pietta '60 Army brasser, and a SS Ruger Old Army.

Although, I would never pass up the chance of an original.

Mr. Blind Pugh- I am sorry to learn that you have such restrictions put on you. It seems a great wrong that there is an "Issuing Authority" that has the power to tell you what to do. GWW
