Savage Navy Revolver
« on: March 04, 2013, 06:01:56 AM »

Savage Navy Revolver made between 1861 and 1865.  It is a civilian one with a high polish which is hard to find as most were made for the Army during the Civil War.  Total production was about 20,000.  The serial number of this revolver is 5120 and it has a 7-1/8 barrel and is caliber .36.  This one has rosewood grips, the only one known this way and thinking is that it was a special presentation set.  Note the rare Savage marked cartridge pack.
