English Victorian Waist Dirk by Hancock

An excellent example marked "George Hancock & Sons Celebrated Cutlery". G. Hancock listed at 15 South St. Shefield 1834. This piece is probably circa 1850's. Excellent 4 1/2" blade and 9" overall piece, nickel silver crossguard, foliate guard ferrule, ivory hilt crowned with a nickel silver pommel. This piece rides in its original Moroccan leather scabbard. A great little mid Victorian dirk. This piece is in its as found condition with slight staining on the blade and surface age crack on the ivory hilt.
