Gustav Young Style Engraved Colt Model 1861 Navy Percussion Revolver

Together with Copy of Factory Letter. Serial no. 2350, .36 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel with single-line New York address . Custom floral engraved in a Gustav Young style with Wolf's head hammer. Lever, triggerguard and gripstrap, engraved en suite. Silver-plated finish. Engraved screws. Custom Tiffany-style grips, with embossed battle scene pictorial panels and ribbon work..Pommel with raised American eagle motif. Accompanying copy of factory letter notes that revolver left factory in blued finish with brass triggerguard and gripstrap assembly. The letter states the revolver left factory with walnut grips, sold to U.S. Navy Department and shipped to: Lt. Col. G.D. Ramsey, Washington Arsenal, Washington, D.C., October 7, 1861 in a shipment of 200 firearms.
